Volunteers are valued members of the school community.

As a parent of a student at Notre Dame Catholic School, you have been entrusted with the responsibility to assist in the education of your child. All parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends of the family are encouraged to volunteer for various activities and events throughout the year.

Notre Dame families are required to give 20 hours of volunteer service to the school each year. There are a variety of events and activities that need volunteers including:

  • Lunch/Playground Duty
  • Grandparents Celebration
  • Book Fair
  • Fall Festival
  • Secret Santa Workshop
  • Fundraiser Ticket Processing
  • Teacher Appreciation Week
  • Library Volunteer
  • And many more

All volunteers are required to attend the Diocese of St. Petersburg Safe Environment Program Training. These training sessions are held in various locations throughout the year.

Before any volunteer is allowed to work with students in a supervisory manner, they must also submit fingerprints and undergo a background screening.
